Knocking out self-doubt. Inadequacy. Low self-worth.
I love essential oils! AND I can honestly say that I love myself, too. (Actually way more than I love essential oils.)
But I didn’t always feel that way. I remember being at a Fearless Living Workshop many years ago. The trainer was telling us to write down why we were there. And then to go a layer deeper, and a layer deeper, and a layer deeper.
At the bottom of all my layers, I found that I was there because I hated myself. That’s what came up for me.
This workshop happened long before I knew that I had the Joy & Judgment Life Theme (a.k.a. School of Love). This Life Theme means that I can judge myself and my emotions too harshly.
So there I was, being authentic. Raw. Real.
I hated myself, and admitting that was the first step toward being able to love myself. Because the flip side of that Joy & Judgment Life Theme means that I’m also designed to experience the true joy that comes from self-love and emotional authenticity.
And I got my first glimpse of that when I read Carol Tuttle’s book Remembering Wholeness. That book helped me see that there was nothing wrong with me. It confirmed that all I need to do is be myself. That I was already whole.
I’ve been following Carol Tuttle ever since. She’s an author, energy healer, and creator of online learning programs Energy Profiling and Dressing Your Truth. I even went out to Utah with a couple of friends to attend one of her live events.
So when Carol posted this video with a Self-Love exercise, I wanted to share it. Because I don’t know about you, but sometimes I still need the reminder that I am already whole, and that I’ve always had that love and acceptance of myself.
